LADvertising

21 years old. Working at an advertising agency in Oxford Circus. Live in Kent. Love life. This is my story…

What a day.

It started with a friend request, that’s right, TwinkleToes wants to be my friend. Boom! (she’s the one on the right)…

Leaving it until the morning before I accept it so she thinks I’ve got better things to do than count down the seconds before she adds me and then write a whole blog post about her. Playing it cool.

A great start to the day. To top it all off I finally met up with Nasha this evening.

Nasha: 7 and a half. Cute, fun, mysterious, slightly mental, bit of a coke fiend

Been trying to meet up with her for ages and finally organised ourselves enough to go for a drink. She ended up being half an hour late and the whole thing turned into a half hour speed date because I had to get the car home to mummy. Still, got a cheeky snog and she seems pretty easy so I’ll be keeping her on the cards. Tempted to invite her over tomorrow evening but I know this is an awful idea. Not girlfriend material and I’ve got to be careful to keep her at a distance.

Will probably still invite her over.

Oh also found out today that the advertising agency I work at want to keep me on after my Internship in a full time position. What a day.

She text back.

She actually text back.  After that ridiculous text I sent her she actually text me back.  Here it is:

Hey, im great thanks you? I had a really good night thanks. Shame we had to leave so early, I must’ve missed out on some classics! X

I sent my message at 18.36pm.  Reply received at 20:05pm.

One and a half hour turn around time.  I’m happy with that.

She doesn’t sound too excited to hear from me but she did have “a really good night” and it was a “shame” she had to leave so early.  Moderately happy with this.

One call to action “im great thanks you?” doesn’t give me much to work with but I’ve got an ace card.  I’m going to tell her to add me on Facebook.  I’ve got a strong Facebook profile, one that has been worked on for a couple of months now.  I’ve secured some decent photos of nights out and I’ve got a good profile pic of myself and my friends (girls and boys) loving life at a boat party.

Here goes text number two.

I just text her.

Spent about half an hour pacing my room trying to think of something interesting to say.  I couldn’t think of anything so I wrote this:

Hey TwinkleToes, it’s (my name) from pitcher. How are you? Last night was so good. Didn’t get out of bed til 2 today, so tired from all that dancing. They were cracking out some massive 90′s tunes after you left. Did you have a good night? x

Not my best but it’ll do.  Here’s what I was thinking:

  • I’d shorten the name of the bar we met at from “pitcher and piano” to “pitcher”.  I like to party.
  • Ask two questions.  She’ll probably have no idea what to text back so I’ve given her two opportunities for content.
  • Remind her about how much we danced.  A restricted Facebook stalk has taught me that she goes to a performing arts college. She probably loves dancing.
  • I actually woke up at 9.30am this morning and have been up since.  We danced for about half an hour last night and as soon as she left I went home.  There’s no way I was going to stay there dancing to awful 90′s tunes with my mates. Like I said, I couldn’t think of anything interesting to say.
  • Just one kiss.

Searching the internet for “what to text a girl you met the night before” didn’t help.  All I learnt is that there are a lot of boy’s out there like me who put way too much thought into this.  Still I thought I’d share the most useful link I found: http://bit.ly/uyCo6l.

Will update when if she texts back.

Got with a solid 8 and a half last night, I think she might be the one.

I’m going to call her TwinkleToes.  I found her on Facebook in less than two minutes (new PB) but privacy settings are getting in the way of the casual Facebook stalk.  Still confident that she’s the one but I’ve only got her profile picture to go by.

I managed to get her number too.  She typed it in my phone and seemed to double check it so I’m banking on it being her real one.  I’m waiting until it’s dark outside then I’m going to text her.  I think she’ll be more receptive when it’s dark outside.  Girls are scared of the dark, getting a text from a nice boy will make her feel safe.  Or will it creep her out getting a text from an unknown number?

Note to self: avoid creepiness when writing text.

Will update on progress with said girl.
